To serve God, a leader cannot be corrupt

Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): The 37th conference of Kuhuboto Ghakhu Baptist Church Leaders’ Fellowship is being held at Ahoje village Baptist Church. The programme got underway on November 18 with Pukhavi Yeptho, former member, Dimapur Municipal Council gracing the introductory service as a special guest.
A press note received here stated that while exhorting the congregation of church leaders’ Pukhavi said that it is a blessed and joyous occasion to strengthen their commitment to work for God’s glory. He reminded them that they represent thousands of believers and that they have a great responsibility to reach out to people of spread the gospel of Christ and to build a society of faithful believers.
Stating that a leader cannot be corrupt to serve God, he said a church leader should be a man of integrity, dependable and have convincing ability in what you do or speak by being righteous.    
He urged the church leaders to strengthen one another in upholding the sanctity of the church and its growth.
Nivishe, pastor, Luzheto Baptist Church delivered a message taking a scripture from the chapter of Lamentations in the Bible.
Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu, Executive Secretary, WSBAK and Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, Director, SBC are other speakers of the conference.
The inaugural service was led by Hekato, pastor, Xelhozhe Baptist Church and recorded by Tokali, youth director, Suhoi Baptist Church.
Ahoje, head GB of the host village delivered welcome address. Mughavi, vice chairman of KGBPF conducted the introduction of the delegates. Hozuli, women leader, Nizhevi Baptist Church read a scripture from the Bible. The conference will conclude on November 20.
