Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): A meeting of Land Owners/Pattadars of land occupied by GREF/Sewak under Block No. 9 & 10 Dimapur was held on May 26 at Circuit House Dimapur and resolved to form a Union under the name and style as “Pattadar Union Sewak Block 9 & 10 Dimapur”. A press note received here stated that the Union has been formed to impress upon the Government of Nagaland in respect of lease agreement signed between the State and SEWAK/GREF since 1962 for a period of 50 (Fifty) years which expires on October 31, 2012 that the land occupied by Sewak should be handed over to the actual Patta holder on the expiry of the said lease deed.
A team of office bearers were elected with President- Abolo Yepthomi and Secretary-Sanju. The tribal representative are: Lotha- Chubenthung and N. Ngullie; Ao- Geoffrey Yaden and T. Onen Jamir; Rongmei-Julius Kamsonlong and Lachuang Pamei; Sumi-Avito Zhimomi and Hepito Kathy; Gorkha-Tikaram Dhakal and Biren Chetri; Rengma-Hilo Rengma and Hisenlo Kath; Zeliang-Akulaliu Zeliang.
The house resolved to convene a general meeting of all the Pattadars on June 9 at Circuit House, Dimapur at 10:00 AM to appraise the matter to the Government and also to elect the following vacant Office bearer for Vice President-two posts (One from Dimapur and another from Kohima/Others; Joint Secretary-two posts 1(one) from Dimapur and another from Kohima/Others; Treasurer- one post.
The pattadars are requested to submit the following on June 9, 2012 at the meeting: name of the Tribal representative who could not submit on May 26, 2012; Photo copy of the patta/jamabandi; One time registration fee of @ Rs 1000 (One Thousand) only per patta; full address and contact number of the Pattadars.
All concerned are requested to attend the meeting on June 9, 2012 at 10:00 positively at Circuit House, Dimapur for common cause.
