‘She Leads: The Power Through Knowledge’ Phase 2 held at Zunheboto

The Phase 2 of the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ campaign under the theme “She Leads: The Power Through Knowledge” and sub-theme “Learning for Life: Building Futures through Education” was held at Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church on September 17. The programme was organised by Alo A. Yepthomi (Miss Sümi 2024 Second Runner-Up) in collaboration with Sümi Totimi Hoho and Achumi Takumi.

The event was moderated by Linovi P Kiba (Miss Sümi 2022 First Runner-Up). Invocation was pronounced by Vihokhu K Zhimo, Assistant pastor, ZTSBC..

Dharam Raj, IAS Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, delivered the keynote address on “The Power of Education”, highlighting the importance of education in building responsible citizens and a progressive society.

The programme featured a special presentation titled “When You Say Nothing at All” by Aqheto V. Assumi, followed by a thematic address “Dream, Learn, Achieve” delivered by the organiser, Alo A. Yepthomi (Miss Sümi 2024 2RU). She shared about the journey of famous personalities like APJ Abdul Kalam and Thomas Alva Edison who had difficult beginnings but their dreams and perseverance made them achieve great Heights. She further urged the students to dare to dream for it is the first step to success.

The benediction was then offered by Aketo Yeptho, Youth Leader of ZTSBC.

Students from Immanuel Hr Sec School, Woodland Hr Sec School, Cornerstone Hr Sec School, and Merry Hill School, along with Intern students of Zunheboto Government College participated in the event.

Special invitees included L Chinglem Konyak, EAC Zunheboto HQ., Zunheboto Town lady Councilors, Sümi Totimi Hoho, and staff of ZTSBC. The programme concluded with a call to empower the younger generation through education, reaffirming the belief that knowledge is the foundation of a brighter future.
