Self-Help Group Weekly Bazaar was launched at Chetheba town under Phek district on August 27.
Phek, August 27 (MExN): A Self-Help Group (SHGs) Weekly Bazaar was launched at Chetheba town under Phek district on August 27. This Bazaar will be opened every Friday. It is supported by Department of Rural Development under Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM).
It was launched by Er Omegali, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Chetheba. Er Omegali encouraged the women folk to do their activities which would generate income. She stressed on the role of women playing a crucial role in family as well as the society.
Block Programme Manager (BPM) Senovielhou Koza said NSRLM main focus is to stabilize and enhance the livelihoods portfolio of the poor, in farm and in non-farm sectors, and subsequently diversifying their livelihoods.
Motahu Rokha, Head GB Chetheba Town also exhorted the gathering. Area coordinator, IBCB Vekouto Kezo chaired the function.
