Dimapur, December 23 (MExN): Signal Angami Village Council in Dimapur today issued a statement outlining a code of behavior for citizens and people in its area during the festive season.
The council has said that taking alcohol and other Intoxicant in public places, the village’s playground etc is strictly prohibited. Collection of “taxes” or donation in the name of Christmas within the jurisdiction of Signal Angami Village without the prior approval of the council is strictly prohibited.
Further, bursting firecracker is strictly banned within the village area, the council said. “Failing to comply with the above information/notice the village council may penalize/persecute as per the court of the council.”
The village council has entrusted the youth of all the area’s sectors to look into illegal activities. “Any untoward incident arising on failing to heed to the notice the council shall not be held responsible,” the council said in the note issued by council secretary Neichuvoto Kiso.
