DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 26 (MExN): Special secretary (home) L. Singsit (IPS) on Saturday called upon the freshers as well as outgoing students of City Law College Dimapur to uphold the spirit of law – natural justice, rather than emphasizing too much on the technical interpretations of law.
Speaking as the chief guest during the College’s 14th Freshers’ Day-cum-Parting Social at AIDA Hall Don Bosco, Singsit said the citizens of India are fortunate to be in a country which has numerous provisions of rights for the common men. In this regard, he urged the students to start fighting their own way to reach their goal and be ignorant and deaf to any criticisms and problems that may come in their way to success.
According to Singsit, all successful people were not necessarily brilliant but they are the ones who think they can and have confidence in themselves while focusing on their goal. Stating that there was nothing very small or very big in life, he said all that matters was determination in life. Whether you study in Nagaland or outside, your determination will determine your success, he told the students.
Principal of the College, P. Leonard Aier delivered greetings while Vilito Sema, president of City Law College Students’ Union Dimapur delivered the welcome address. Hailung Zeliang and 2nd year students of the College presented a special number and cultural show respectively.
