SJC (A) hosts webinar on ‘real life application of mathematics’

Kohima, September 3 (MExN): The Department of Mathematics in collaboration with IQAC, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama organised a national webinar on the topic, ‘real life application of mathematics’ on September 3.

Resource person in the first technical session, Dr Pallab Changkakoti, Assistant Professor from Kohima Science College (Autonomous) presented on ‘Uses of statistics in our day to day life’. In the second session, Lhilo Kenye, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad spoke on ‘The essence of mathematics in computer science and information technology’.

The inaugural session was chaired by Toshiwapang T Lemtur, Assistant Professor and Rev Fr Peter Solo, Dean of Science delivered the welcome address. The first and second technical session was chaired by Chonbeni Yanthan, Assistant Professor and Dzuvino Judith Kuotsu, Assistant Professor respectively.
