Kohima, August 6 (MExN): A three-day long ‘Skill Training for Rural Employment’ was organized by Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland (GCN) from August 3 to 5 at Peren Town.
Kekhrievor Kevichusa, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Nagaland was the main speaker during the inaugural program.

He thanked the implementing agency GCN for taking the initiative to uplift the educated unemployed youths of Nagaland.

Other speakers of the program included; Joydeep Das, Branch Manager SBI Peren and Keyirangding Hegui, ADC Peren. 

The resource persons and master trainers included; Pezangunuo Azai Kerhüo (Food processing), Rietuo Zumvü & Vineinuo Sopfü (Soap Making), NBHM Peren (Beekeeping) and Atsituo Pfükha (Upholstery Carpentry).

The certificate award ceremony on August 5 was chaired by Akalu Zeliang, Board Member NKVIB.

Certificates have been awarded to the trainees by respective trade Master Trainers.

Vote of thanks was proposed by GCN president Kezhangulie Kire.

Altogether, 324 youth turned up at the training programme.

Mentionably, NKVIB in collaboration with GCN under the chairmanship of Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsü also conducted a similar 3 days Skill Training in 2021 in the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Mon and Kiphire.
