Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Global Concepts Nagaland (GCN) organised three-day skill training for rural employment in Longkhim under Tuensang district from August 9 to 11.
Altogether, 361 people registered through online and are undergoing training at Longkhim in four separate rooms for food processing, bee keeping, soap making and upholstery carpentry.
In the opening ceremony, Sethrongkyu, Advisor, IT and Communication, E&S, Evaluation and Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang delivered short speeches. Sethrongkyu expressed gratitude to Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, Chairman NKVIB and Advisor to Chief of Nagaland and GCN for brining the skill training for rural employment to various parts of the state.
The programme was led by S Akhaba Sangtam, Additional CEO, NKVIB while invocation was pronounced by Rev Y Imtiba, Executive Secretary, USBLA, Yangli. Longkhim Town Baptist Church presented a special number, short speech by Sarei Muinao, Lead District Manager, Tuensang and vote of thanks by Kezhangulie Kire, President, GCN.
