SKK mandates inspection of educational institutions

Zunheboto, May 8 (MExN): The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK), Zunheboto, has directed all its constituent units under the union to carry out comprehensive inspections in all educational institutions within their jurisdictions, warning of strict action against negligence or failure to report deficiencies.

Issuing a directive following a Union Assembly resolution adopted on March 31, the SKK has set a two-month deadline for mandatory submission of a complete, tabulated progressive report covering each institution, to be submitted to the SKK Office on or before the first week of June 2026 from the “date of issuance of this statement.”

Any serious deficiencies, violations, negligence, or administrative lapses identified during the course of these inspections must be reported without exception or delay to the Office of SKK for prompt and necessary action, SKK President Hipito Achumi and General Secretary P Samuel Chophy said, adding, “failure to report such matters would be viewed with seriousness.”

The SKK further stated that it would continue to monitor high schools, higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities under its jurisdiction, while official inspections of government offices will also be conducted across Zunheboto District as per schedule.

The union therefore, appealed all Heads of Government Schools and Heads of Departments (HODs) of government offices to extend full cooperation and ensure no obstruction, delay, or non-compliance occurs during inspection visits.

The SKK asserted that any loopholes, misconduct, dereliction of duty, or systemic failures identified during the exercise shall be immediately escalated to competent higher authorities for decisive action, reaffirming that union will “not tolerate negligence and remains firmly committed to enforcing accountability and institutional discipline.” It added that active public cooperation is considered essential and non-negotiable in this collective effort toward societal reform.
