Zunheboto, January 27 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho has agreed to host the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) General Conference in April.
The decision was taken during a coordination meeting held at Sümi Hoho Ki, Zunheboto, on January 27, following a proposal put forward by CNTC officials.
The CNTC delegation was led by its President Khondao Ngully, while the Sümi Hoho was represented by its President Vihuto Asumi.
According to a press release issued by the Sümi Hoho, the meeting also deliberated on various issues confronting Naga society.
These included discussions focused on the constructive role the CNTC can play in fostering unity, understanding and social harmony among the Nagas.
It was emphasised that the existence and functioning of the CNTC should contribute meaningfully to the welfare and progress of Nagaland society as a whole.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment by both organisations to strengthen coordination and cooperation in the larger interest of the people, the release added.
