Satoi, June 15 (MExN): The Sümi Totimi Hoho (STH), the apex women’s organisation of the Sümi community, has revived the Sümi Totimi Loka (STL), a local women’s body that had remained defunct for several years following an area tour to Satoi town.
The reactivation was made possible with the initiative and support of the Satoi GB’s Association, which played a crucial role in breathing new life into the local organisation, the STH Media Cell said.
The programme witnessed participation from residents of the Satoi Area, reflecting the community’s collective resolve to strengthen social institutions and enhance women’s participation in community affairs.
As a mark of appreciation and goodwill, the Satoi GB’s Association presented a Rhododendron plant to the STH delegation. “The symbolic gift represented growth, unity and a lasting partnership between the community and the apex women’s body,” the STH Media Cell added.
