Kohima, August 9 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration, there will be a social work on August 13 from 7:00 AM onwards alongwith with the main stretch of the National Highway road leading from Minister’s Hill to New Secretariat. Stating this in a release, the Kohima Municipal Council requested all the respective ward panchayats to supervise the social work by collecting the garbage in the collection point for necessary clearance. In a separate release, the KMC also directed all the shop establishments/institutions/agencies etc. within the jurisdiction of Kohima municipality to sweep/clean/wash/paint/white wash the front side of the building and shops facing the road side on or before August 12 to facelift the capital city of Nagaland. The KMC also appealed to all shop/ business establishment to hoist National flag on the top of their shops and buildings by 6:00 AM on August 15 in honour of Independence Day. The size of the National Flag should not be smaller than 450X300, a release received here said today.
