Some Nagas just don’t Queue

•-There are numerous diagnostics that are pondered and pronounced upon for the state of the society we find ourselves in. I do feel that these kinds of deliberations:- political, social, religious etc are necessary no doubt, but in many an instance trivial things are often ignored, believing them to be just trivial. However some trifle may became more than just what they are; I am concerned these seeds of trifle may germinate, or perhaps are the causes for many inappropriate things we see around in our society. I shall give an instance:
The other day i was at the post office in Kohima, to parcel. There are no specific directions, in the post office, as to where to stand in line, so i stood by the end of a long line leading to the parcel counter. And to my extreme disappointment, some fellows, obviously educated because they were posting some exam forms, were trying to break the queue. I spoke up and said that people were standing in line so they ought to follow suit. A fellow relented and went back to the end of the line. Somehow there were some who would not listen and I along with the fellow in front had to tell them that all of us were standing in line. Despite that, those particular fellows were did not stand in queue; I did make sure that the line was not broken till me.
Being in queue or not being in it, is demonstrative of tendencies in us to comply or not to comply to codes of conduct; and these trifle impolite social gesture are rapidly reinforced because there is people feel its trifle. How are we to be certain that these small rude behaviours, has in time, not mutated into the shape of corruption?
I am sincerely in doubt, if at all we are to address the issues of inconsistencies proliferating our state, to deal and treat those aliments by being diseased ourselves with negative mannerisms and behaviours that are not in accordance to what we profess. Saying, a type of society will in time breed leaders in its likeness, may not be true always, nonetheless it would be very difficult, perhaps almost impossible to have an uncivil corrupt leader in an uncorrupted civil society.
