• The Ear-boring Half-worn Mongoloid people who were discriminately called "Naka" by the Burmese and "Nunga" by the Assamese are peculiarly known as the Naga/s.
• The "Land" which permanently belongs to the Nagas is called "Nagaland".
• By tradition, we Nagas are a sovereign independent people and a free Nation. Therefore our forebears have legitimately laid all the foundation stones of our Nation under the far-sighted leadership of the mandated Naga National Council (NNC) with the evolution of the modem world. Thus our people have solemnly acknowledged in the Preamble of the Yehzabo (Constitution) of our Nation in the name of Almighty God.
The Preamble reads:
We, the people of Nagaland, solemnly acknowledging that the sovereignty over this earth and the entire universe belongs to almighty God alone, and the authority of the people to be exercised on the territory is a sacred trust from God, who sustained our forefathers, the national workers and our people through the years of trial, and Having our attachment to the truth of popular sovereignty as declared on 22nd March 1956 and the articles contained in the provisional Yehzabo of 1962, to establish national institutions based on the common ideals of democracy, justice, liberty, equality and fraternity among the people composing it,
Do hereby adopt in our national assembly the amended Yehzabo of Nagaland this twenty fifth day of July in the year of our lord nineteenth hundred and sixty eight.
God has given us a blessed land with the sovereign Birthright of a Nation. This Birthright of ours is inalienable and nothing is more precious than this right in the world. Therefore, we always resist and exist it by sacrificing our lives and our all. We are a nation. We have nothing to be worried at all and it is unnecessary to go into details.
We Nagas are not Indian, no never. The 69 years old Indo-Naga war/conflict is purely a conflict of invasion by India against Nagaland. Hence, a logical solution is inevitable. But we must be vigilant and wise at this critical juncture. And we must keep this, in our deepest heart, that:
• A Christian who expects salvation from Satan will automatically go to hell.
• A plaintiff who expects right decree from the defendant is a stupidest plaintiff.
• In the same way, if we expect a logical solution from India, the aggressor, our nation will be the heaviest loser among the nations in the world. So it is the world to settle the 69 years old Indo-Naga conflict. Fellow Nagas let us once again assemble in the original home. So that no one can stop us...
