DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 2 (MExN): The Sovima Village Council has resolved that “no business establishments or individuals within the jurisdiction of Sovima Village shall pay tax to any Naga underground factions unless/until the various groups unite and Naga people decide otherwise.” This was affirmed as per the resolution adopted by the Chümoukedima Circle Chakhro Public Organisation (CCCPO) at a meeting on August 24 at Urra Village, informed a press release from the Sovima Village Council. “This is in tune with the decision taken up by the Naga public on October 31, 2013 in the matter of ‘One Government, One Tax’,” it stated. The council further said that “those contravening this circular shall be doing so at their own peril.”
