Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): A three days spiritual awakening of the ‘Christkingians’ was held at the Christ King High School in Mon town from July 14 to 16. Pastor Robert Kikon of Christ Community Church, Chumukedima was the Speaker. Students numbering about 700 were taught about the importance of the Word of God; about the social evils that is killing our society because of straying away from the word of God. He challenged the gathering to be "agents of change and transformers" for our broken land.
Parents, teachers and the public were also taught to be "builders of our society" and “people builder” through their actions and speaking words of encouragements. The Speaker also urged the students to be honest in life and speak against corruption and immorality that Naga society is plagued into.
The programme was organised by the chairman of the Christ King School H. Wanglin Konyak and the principal Anil Kumar. The Additional S.P. of Mon, John Ezung also shared his thoughts that without "God and His Holy Spirit we can never move forward," and that it is only through "the children we will see change in Nagaland. The congregation later dedicated their lives to Jesus and committed themselves to be change agents for Jesus.
