Kattankulathur, May 11 (MExN): The SRM Joint Entrance Examination Engineering - SRMJEEE (B Tech) 2020 will be held from July 30 to August 4 in 127 Indian and 5 cities abroad - Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Around 1.75 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the test, a press release from the university informed.
The test will be computer-based with 2 hours and 30 minutes duration, with 125 MCQs and no negative marking, it said.
The questions will bedrawn from Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, together with an Aptitude test.
With two sessions each day, candidates can select the exam date, session and choice of centre. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket in the 3rd week of July.
According to the release, SRMJEEE is common entrance examination for the coveted B.Tech programs for entry into all the campuses of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (earlier SRM University) located at Kattankulathur (Main Campus), Vadapalani, Ramapuram, and Delhi – NCR;SRM University, Andhra Pradesh; SRM University, Sonepat– Haryana and SRM University, Sikkim.
The joint Counselling is slated to be held in the 2ndor 3rd week of August and the students will be chosen based on their SRMJEEE rank, it said.
SRM will conduct the exam in a safe and secure manner, following all State regulations on social distancing, sanitation, cleanliness, etc, it added.
It further claimed that this year SRMIST achieved a record 8500+ job offers with a top salary of Rs 41.6 lakh and around 625+ companies visit the university every year. Range of scholarships to the tune of Rs 32 Crore are also available for the students, it added.
