SSPN delegation meets CM Rio, places demands for cadets' welfare

A joint delegation comprising Principal, Sainik School Punglwa, Executive members of Old Boys’ Association and the Executive Committee of the Parents Association, called on Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr Neiphiu Rio, on April 18.

Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): A joint delegation comprising Principal, Sainik School Punglwa, Executive members of the Old Boys’ Association (OBA) and the Executive Committee of the Parents Association, called on Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr Neiphiu Rio, on April 18 to discuss key issues concerning the progress and welfare of the institution.

An update received here stated that the delegation, comprising the Principal, executive members of the Old Boys' Association (OBA) and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), placed before the Chief Minister a set of pressing demands, including appointment of a full-time doctor for comprehensive medical care of cadets, 100% scholarships for cadets from Nagaland, and an enhanced Grant-in-Aid for infrastructure development.

The CM gave a patient hearing to the matters raised and assured the delegation that the state government would take necessary action on the issues presented, the statement said.

The discussions were described as constructive and forward-looking, with focus on strengthening academic excellence, upgrading residential facilities and ensuring holistic development of cadets.

The delegation was led by Principal Dr (Col) Misra and included HK Khulu, President, OBA Nagaland Chapter; Er Levi Rengma and Yangba Konyak, Vice Presidents, OBA; Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, General Secretary, OBA; Er Renilo Nuh, President, PTA; Alee Longchar, General Secretary, PTA; and Hetoi Sema, among others.
