St Joseph's College holds FDP on AI-powered teaching and research

Kohima, July 7 (MExN): St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama, organised a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "AI-Powered Academia: Managerial Skills and Teaching-Learning & Research Strategies" from July 3 to 7.

Organised by the college's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research and Development Cell (RDC), the programme sought to equip faculty members with the knowledge and practical skills to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching, research, assessment and academic administration.

According to a press release, resource persons from North-Eastern Hill University, the District Mental Health Programme, NHAK, Kohima, and St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) conducted sessions during the programme.

The FDP covered AI-enabled teaching strategies, AI tools for research and publications, student mentoring and mental health, formative assessment, prompt engineering, AI-assisted assessment design and the ethical use of AI in academia. Faculty members also participated in interactive discussions and hands-on training sessions.
