The Department of Psychology and Counselling at St Joseph’s University conducted a two-day inter-college 5th Psych Fest 2025.
KOHIMA, September 27 (MExN): The Department of Psychology and Counselling at St Joseph’s University concluded its two-day inter-college 5th Psych Fest 2025 on Friday.
Held under the theme ‘Neural Sparks – Connecting Minds, Sparking Ideas,’ the event held on September 25 and 26, saw participation from several colleges, including Dimapur Government College, Tetso College, ICFAI, and Patkai College.
The inaugural session was addressed by Gideon Vahlou, Assistant Professor, who emphasised the role of psychology in fostering empathy and resilience.

The chief guest, Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere, a counselling psychologist and Co-Founder & Chairman of CRIMHRC, shared insights from his professional journey and encouraged students to pursue their passions.
A key highlight was the release of the department magazine by Dr V Tiruppathi Vasagan, Dean of Social Sciences and Management.
The second day of the fest was dedicated to interactive games, team-building activities, and a meditation room for mindfulness practice.
