Tening, December 11 (MExN): The sensitization programme of stakeholders and village functionaries for one day under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) organised by district administration of Peren was held in DB’s Court at Tening Town on December 8.
The resource person, Deputy Commissioner of Peren S Tainiu speaking on the “powers and functions of Village Council” said that government has empowered the people through communitisation. The DC appealed to the village council to acknowledge and utilise the service and participate in decision.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Sarita Yadav, IAS spoke on “Opportunities in Educational Sector.” Yadav highlighted on eligibility for competitive.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Supongmenla Walling stressing on the topic “Functioning of Village Health Committee and Health Issues” said health is the right and duty of the citizen. She suggested to the Health Committee to have a target to control disease in their respective village. Deputy Chief Medical Officer cited an example in Tuensang which planted an orange tree for donating the fruit for health fund which was an innovative idea.
Project Director of DRDA spoke on the topic “Implementation of VDB Schemes.” Project Director asked the villagers to follow and response the trend of changing of policies by the ministry.
District Statistical Officer highlighted on “Registration of Births and Deaths.” Asuni Newmai, Penal Lawyer’s of Peren, District Legal Service Authority talked on “Child Rights.”
Extra Assistant Commissioner, Tening, Saku Chingmak chaired the programme and gave the concluding remarks.
