Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): A two-day online training programme for Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) functionaries was organised by the State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Medziphema on May 18 and 19.
The training programme was aimed at imparting technical knowledge on livestock management and disease control, according to a press release from the SAMETI Director on Wednesday.
Resource persons for the training programme were veterinary surgeons Dr Sentinungla Ao and Dr T Vekuto Sema from the Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry. Participatory lectures on poultry management and its disease control and management of piggeries and its common disease control were covered during the training programme, the release stated.
A total of 22 participants from different districts attended the training and also gave feedback on the programme. The valedictory programme was chaired by Janet Chishi, DPD SAMETI. On completion of the programme, e-certificates were distributed to the participants while Yezaho Swu, DPD, SAMETI pronounced the vote of thanks, the press release informed.
