Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): BJP Nagaland President Dr. M. Chuba Ao and State BJP Nagaland congratulated Neiphiu Rio for orchestrating the election process adeptly and taking the alliance back to where it belonged, the seat of authority with a thumping victory.
State BJP expressed confidence that Neiphiu Rio, as leader of DAN will take the state further on the path of peace and development with equity in development, empowerment of women, employment for youths, remunerative prices for farmers and artisans as well as other public welfare measures for all round progress all over the state irrespective of geographical distances and spread.
State BJP in a press release issued by Cell, Convenor, Jaangsillung Gonmei, also congratulated P. Paiwang Konyak, newly elected BJP MLA from 41 Tizit A/c, Mon District for his success in the just concluded election and expressed confidence in his capability and social commitment.
BJP Nagaland expressed regret that a few lives were affected negatively and inappropriately during electioneering which ought not to be, despite all out efforts by the commission and stated, “while grieving with the families of the unfortunate events, this has to be a reminder to strive for a better and safer political and electioneering process. The high voter turnout is an assurance that the people are keen for all round development and this is where BJP along with its DAN partners will work towards.”
The State BJP has meanwhile, denounced the “unauthorized press report on the Presidency of Dr. M. Chuba Ao as politically ill motivated by unscrupulous sections at such a juncture of the formation of DAN Ministry, to marginalize the BJP. The party organizational election is certainly behind schedule due to the State Assembly Elections. However, the change in leadership shall take place only after due official notification from the centre.”
