Kohima, October 31 (MExN): Nagaland state BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi has campaigned for PDA's consensus candidate  Wangpang Konyak for bye- election to the 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency on October 30 at Lamgpong Sheanghah, Mon.

"I stand before you today, as State President of BJP Nagaland, to declare my party's support to the PDA's official candidate of 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency, Wangpang Konyak from the NDPP,” he said.

He said that this has been done so, “with due approval and blessings from our central leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and our National BJP President JP Nadda, to honor our  alliance partnership with NDPP, led by Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y. Patton, Deputy Chief Minister and BLP Leader and TR Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister of  Nagaland."

He said that the PDA Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton has provided Nagaland with stable governance and had carried out all-round accelerated development with the full-fledged support of Modi's Government at the Centre.

“As a result of which, our State Nagaland has witnessed a new era of economic growth and  positive developmental activities as never seen before, with the prevalence of a  peaceful environment guided by the 'Common Minimum Program' of the  Alliance, he said.

He said that the state government has also played the role of active facilitator in the peace process and “serious efforts continue to be made by the State Government and the Government of India with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, towards finding a peaceful solution through the ongoing political dialogue.”

Yepthomi also stated that the  pre-poll BJP - NDPP Alliance has grown from strength to strength and has continued to gain the popular support of the people over the years which is “evident in the subsequent victories in the various by-elections, as well as both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha election”, a result of collective efforts of both the parties.

The State BJP President also assured that BJP will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen the Alliance so as to fulfill the visionary programs and policies of the Government of India.

“"It is with this spirit that we have decided to assure our unreserved and all-out support to Wangpang Konyak, the NDPP official Candidate for 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency Bye-Election,” Yepthomi said.

He called upon each and every BJP party man and woman in 43 Tapi A/C, to extend their full support and vote for Wangpang Konyak.
