Kohima, February 23 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar was enumerated today, February 23 at the Raj Bhavan Kohima. The team of National Census Enumerators for the 2nd Phase of Census Enumeration, headed by Revenue Officer, Kohima Sadar, Kovi Meyase entered the details of His Excellency and his wife Her Excellency, Shyama Singh.
The Governor was born on 15th July 1941 at Hajipur in Vaishali district of Bihar. He was an MP in the Lok Sabha, for Aurangabad Constituency in Bihar before he became the Governor of Nagaland on 15th October 2009. He is a Post-Graduate (MA) in Modern History and speaks four languages, English, Hindi, Bengali and Maithili. His permanent address is “Sopan” Boring Road, Patna, Bihar. Shyama Singh was born in Patna. She was also the MP Lok Sabha from Aurangabad Constituency and is a Post-Graduate in History. Nikhil Kumar is the son of the former Chief Minister of Bihar, late. Satyendra Narayan Sinha. He did his early education at Patna in St. Xavier’s School and his graduation and Post-graduation in Allahabad under Allahabad University.
