Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The department of rural development is organizing a state level quiz programme on March 4 at Kohima for VDB and VC members at Kohima.
All the project directors have been requested to nominate 2 VDB/VC members from each district to participate in the quiz programme positively. This programme is being organized not only for prize money but it is part of capacity building at the grassroot level and dissemination of information as directed by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The selected participants will be sent to New Delhi for National Quiz Programme.
DRDA, Wokha has already nominated the participants. They have been further requested to send the participants to SIRD, Nagaland latest by March 2 for trial.
The rest DRDAs may nominate the participants directly to Director, SIRD, Nagaland on or before February 25 either through special messenger or by e-mail or telephone.
The first prize money will be Rs. 50,000 sponsored by Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary for RD, second prize money-Rs. 30,000 sponsored by V, Sakhrie, commissioner & secretary, rural development department and third prize- Rs. 20,000 sponsored by Limasenla Jamir, Director SIRD.
TA/DA and free lodging will be looked after by SIRD strictly for the participants, a release received here said today.
