Kohima, August 25 (MExN): The State Level Teachers’ Day 5th Sept, 2011 will be celebrated at GHSS, Kohima Multipurpose Auditorium at 10: A.M with the Minister for School Education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak as the Chief Guest. A press release issued by B. Tingshem Addl. Director informed that all the School Teachers of Kohima Town with limited selected students from each school are requested to attend the programme positively. Cash Award with Certificate will be awarded to 50 teachers for their meritorious services. Transportation should be arranged by the individual school at their own cost. It also added that the State Level Committee on 4th August, 2011 at its meeting decided to ban the sale of Token (Teachers’ Day Badge) in the streets and therefore all DEO / DIS and Head of Institutions both Government and Private Schools under this department are requested to strictly comply with the ban of selling Token in the streets.
