New Delhi, December 2 (MExN): The 63rd Statehood Day of Nagaland was celebrated at Nagaland House, 29-Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi on December 1. Joint Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House New Delhi, Sharon Longchari unfurled the national flag to mark the occasion, which was attended by senior officers, staff of Nagaland House and guests.
Addressing the gathering, Longchari said the day is observed to reflect on and appreciate how far the State has progressed since its formation. Recounting the history of Nagaland’s statehood, she noted that the State has faced many challenges. She stated that although Nagaland is a small state with a population of less than two million, “the aspirations of the State is big,” and added that these aspirations can be achieved “with participation of all.”
