Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): A Veterinary Public Health and Agri-business Poly Clinic (VPH-ABPC) under private public partnership (PPP) mode was inaugurated in Dimapur today. This is the first PPP venture in agri-business poly clinic in the state set up jointly by Hoshivi Inato Trustee and the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA). Assistant General Manager, SBI Regional Office, Ashok Das inaugurated the clinic.
Giving an introduction about the clinic, Founder Director VPH-ABPC, Dr. HI Jhimomi said that the non-profit organisation HIT is involved in various activities meant to uplift people, adding that economic uplift is one of them. He said that the clinic is meant to provide veterinary healthcare as well as assistance on various services. The clinic will provide services like vaccination, treatment, indoor patient facility, grooming and deworming, livestock insurance and counseling on animal bite management, public health, hygiene and zoonotic diseases. The clinic will also attend to home call and farm call services.
District Agriculture Officer and Project Director ATMA, N Wetsah said that the ATMA will provide training to the beneficiaries of the clinic. ATMA will further provide resource persons during various training programmes and workshops. He said that the pharmacy is equipped with all Agri allied inputs ranging from machineries, fertilizers to veterinary medicines at subsidized rate.
A free anti-rabies vaccination and health care camp was also jointly organised by HIT and ATMA at the venue. Many people turned up with their pet dogs to avail the services. Reverend Inaho G Swu dedicated the clinic which is located at Lomithi Colony junction on the way to Thahekhu village.
