Kohima, December 7 (MExN): State partner of the ongoing 26th edition of the Nagaland Hornbill Festival 2025, has been showcasing vibrant home-grown entrepreneurs at the festival, the State DIPR reported.
The entrepreneurs represent the State’s rich cultural legacy, traditional craftsmanship, and emerging creative industries, and reflect the Government of Arunachal Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to promote local enterprises, empower artisans, and create broader national market linkages for indigenous products, it said.
Among others, Khangam Jewellery has garnered special attention for its exquisite handcrafted jewellery rooted in the cultural heritage of the Wancho community, it added.
Inspired by the intricate bead-making traditions of Wancho women, Khangam Jewellery blends indigenous artistry with modern aesthetics while upholding the values of identity, craftsmanship, and heritage, the report noted. Beyond creativity, the brand contributes to social impact by empowering rural and unemployed women, especially school dropouts, through skill development and sustainable livelihood opportunities, it added.
Arunachal Pradesh, the report said, remains committed to promoting talented artisans, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs on national and global platforms, supporting cultural preservation, economic independence, and women’s empowerment.
