The NSEDM under Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) is a flagship programme of the Government of Nagaland under the initiative of the Chief Minister launched on 29th May 2025 aimed at addressing the issue of unemployment in the state by strengthening skill development, enhancing employability, and facilitating sustainable wage and self-employment opportunities for the youth of Nagaland.
The Job Fair is expected to provide employment opportunities across multiple sectors, including both domestic and international placements.

She encouraged unemployed youths of the state to take advantage of the opportunity and urged parents to motivate their children to register for employment.
Talking on registration process, Moasunep Kichu, Technical Officer and Placement Officer NIELIT said the candidate registration system has been designed to be transparent and well-structured to help applicants identify suitable employment opportunities.

The event will bring together trained youth, job seekers, industry representatives, and institutional stakeholders under one platform to facilitate efficient recruitment and workforce deployment.
Employer Participation: 33 employers have registered for participation so far. The participating employers span across three categories- Local Employers - companies and organisations based within Nagaland, Domestic Employers-companies operating across India and international Employers-overseas recruiters offering opportunities abroad.
All international recruiters participating in the job fair are duly licensed under the Ministry or External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, ensuring credibility, transparency, and the safety of candidates pursuing overseas employment.
There is a significant gap between available opportunities and registered candidates. It is critical that greater participation is encouraged, particularly among students and fresh graduates across the state.
Application process-Transparent & Candidate-Friendly: NSEDM has ensured that the application process is fully transparent and structured to give candidates the best opportunity to secure suitable employment.
Each candidate may apply for up to 3 job vacancies of their choice. All job listings include complete and detailed information to help candidates make informed decisions. This transparent approach ensures that candidates can review and compare job opportunities before applying, empowering them to make the right career choices.
Online Registration: The NSEDM has rolled out a dedicated online registration portal for candidates to register for the State-Wide Job Fair. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, as it enables proper coordination between candidates and employers, efficient scheduling and management on the day of the event and better matching of candidate profiles with employer requirements.
Grooming Sessions: To ensure that registered candidates are well-prepared for the job fair, NSEDM is planning to organise dedicated grooming sessions prior to the event. These sessions will be conducted in both physical and online formats to maximise reach and accessibility.
Physical Sessions: Conducted at designated centres to provide in-person guidance on interview preparation, professional presentation and communication skills.
Online Sessions: Virtual grooming sessions to ensure candidates from across the state-including remote areas-can benefit from preparation guidance.
These sessions will cover areas such as resume building, interview etiquette, confidence building and sector-specific guidance.
