Stop killing of brothers: CBCC to factions

Kohima, March 21 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) today expressed shock over what it termed as “unfortunate incident of March 17 at Phek Town where Nuchitso son of Dunutso of Lozaphuhu village was killed and Wehiko K. Pala of Losami was seriously injured reportedly by the rival groups of the factions.”

“This fratricidal killing and elimination of few brothers, is the most detestable crime which needs to be condemned by all sections of Society,” said CBCC executive secretary Reverend K. Luruo.

While the church continues to work and pray for peace, unity and reconciliation among the warring Nagas and advocate complete stoppage pf bloodshed among the Nagas, it is most painful that some unscrupulous minds have committed such a heinous crime again, the release said.

While condemning the killing of fellow brothers, the Chakhesang Baptist Church appealed to all national workers regardless of factions and party affiliations not to indulge again in such acts of crime “ which not against the law of the land but against the Biblical principles.”
