Mokokchung, March 3 (MExN): The Department of Environmental Studies, Tuli College, Mokokchung observed ‘World Wildlife Day’ by organizing photography competition on March 3. It was held under the theme ‘Stop, Observe, Capture,’ the programme which was chaired by Sosangbenla, BA 6th Semester. HoD, Environmental Studies, Arennaro in her exhortation stressed on the importance of wildlife and the role it plays for maintaining equilibrium in the earth system. She also appreciated the students for actively taking part in the contest, which she said is a sign that the student community understood the importance of conservation of wildlife. The students were shown documentaries on conservation of wildlife during the event. Certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners.
