Students encouraged building up ‘determination’

Kohima | September 3 : Vizhoto Hibo (NCS) said that Nagas lack in determination when it comes to career decision that hinders to take pleasure in privileges, social status, power and authority. He said this during the career guidance seminar held at Sazolie College Jotsoma. Hibo who resourced on the topic civil services said thousands of people gets attracted to get into civil services however attraction will not achieve till determination and hard labor is put across and called upon the students to be wise in their decision. Hibo asserted that central services has wider scope and has more privileges and urged the students to prepare early without waiting for graduation. He also exhorted the students not to have pessimistic views during interview rather a polite “NO” will be the best answer and called upon the students not to slow down till the finishing point is touched.
Time management is also another point he stressed on, to be selfish with the timings, also to create friendship with the books and to abstain from the lifestyle that will take them away from books. “Your performance, dedication, sincerity and trust will place you to where you deserved”, said Hibo.
In his introductory speech, principal Sazolie College urged the students to follow their heart and to do “what you are good at”. The second session was taken over by Zaren odyuo (Tribal Enterprise) on Entrepreneurship. The programme was chaired by Robin Temsu while Aphrenyu Pienyü HOD Sociology delivered vote of thanks.
