KUTHUR, SEPTEMBER 5 (MExN): The Art, Music and Awareness Blend programme was held at the Community Hall, Kuthur village on September 4.
The special awareness event, organised under Mission Shakti, featured a painting and group song competition with the participation of students from five schools. It was organised by the district administration in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Shamator, and initiated by Mekato J Aye, EAC Shamator.
The programme highlighted key issues such as menstrual hygiene, Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) and the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign. Students showcased their creativity while spreading messages of awareness and empowerment.
Sanitary pads were distributed to promote menstrual hygiene among young girls, while IEC materials were handed out to strengthen understanding of government schemes. The gathering also witnessed the screening of various initiatives and success stories from the district.
A cultural performance by womenfolk reflecting the rich traditions of the community added vibrancy to the event. The programme effectively combined awareness with creativity and culture, leaving a meaningful impact on students and the local community.
