Students show the way in repairing road

Armed with spades and other tools, the students’ community today undertook a road repairing work on the deplorable road condition between BSF Camp and Oriental College, Kohima. They filled up the potholes as well as of metalling and cleaning the drainage. They were students of Mountain View Christian College, Kohima. Giant smile from commuters reflected their appreciation towards the effort of the young people. 

“Seeing the inconvenience of the travelers along this route, we have decided to repair this road for the welfare of the people” said Yimchaktsungla Longchar, General Secretary, Student Council Mountain View Christian College, Kohima.

The Students Council stated that the government has neglected the road stretch for the several years, causing immense hardship to vehicle users and public commuters.

Longchar thanked the executive engineer PWD for contributing stones towards the social work. The work started at 6:30 am and lasted till 5:30 pm.
