Students' union releases Kiruphema folk song album

Dimapur: The Kiruphema students’ Union (KSU) released the long awaited Kiruphema folk song vol-1 on April 25 with Savilie Kruneilie, chairman, Kiruphema Village Council (KGC) as the chief guest at Kiruphema Bawe.

A press release informed that Kiruphema village in Kohima district is well known for its traditional and cultural preservation. Addressing the function, Savilie Kruneilie said, “folk song is one of the deepest inner outcomes and a way to safeguard the pride of the forefathers as human life and world technology change day by day.” He added that students are the pillar for the future to build unity and uplift the village in any activity.

Earlier, Kepeneilhou Shosahie, president, KSU, chaired the function; Viletuo Vielie, pastor, Kiruphema Baptist Church said the invocation; Kiruphema FS group presented special folk song; former KSU president Neicasato Visienyü gave exhortation; and KSU adviser Kekhrievituo Dahou delivered vote of thanks.
