Referring to the recent shocking news of suicide by a Lady Army office, Lt. Sushmita Chakarvorty, we have few poignant questions before us. Well, unlike males, females are characteristically much weaker, both physical and mental aspect. By nature, they are more of heart than head, very soft and gentle in manner, style and taste. So every kind of job may not be suitable for any woman. Truck driving could be too ill-matched employment option for them while brave hearts may be entertained to be a plane pilot provided the situation is suitable for them. Therefore, by correctly judging the aptitude, taste and liking of an individual female aspirant, a specific career should be encouraged to pursue.
Attending to the seniors in the night parties or so must have given Ms. Susmita pretty uncomfortable and weird feelings and she found it beneath her feminine dignity to continue the job. And subsequently, being felt too denigrated she must have decided to end herself. Of course, though outwardly one may feel one time all confident and determined but something inside dictates certain other things at other point of time.
However, it does not mean that every female should be restricted to get employed in tough jobs and employment in the country. Or else, we shall not discover incredible talents hidden inside many girls. Let’s hope our every girl has calibre of Kalpana Chawla, Kiran Bedi, Sania Mirza and the like.
