Sumi Hoho provisionally accepts resignation of VP

Dimapur, January 13 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho has “provisionally” accepted the resignation of the Sumi tribal apex organization’s vice president as demanded by the NSCN-Khaplang. The resignation letter dated December 30 of Kitoho S Rotokha shall be endorsed by the Sumi Baghi Hoho to be convened within 45 days, the Sumi Hoho stated today.

The ‘hoho’ said the resignation was accepted provisionally after ‘observing the prevailing situations.’ The organization issued a note through its president H Hesso today. “The NSCN (K) gave a caution notice to Mr. Kitoho S. Rotokha, vice president, Sumi Hoho through the media on the 29th December, 2011 demanding his resignation from the post of vice president, Sumi Hoho or face ‘dire consequences’. The hoho and its frontal organizations had fervently appealed for reconsideration and revocation of the notice. The Hoho leaders even went up to the extent of meeting them personally with a view that official statements made by any Sumi Hoho officials was on behalf of the Hoho which cannot be considered as an individual opinion. However, repeated ‘caution notice’ had been served to the leader,” the Sumi organization lamented “Therefore, observing the prevailing situations, the President, Sumi Hoho has “provisionally accepted” the “Resignation Letter” dated 30th December 2011 of the Hoho’s vice president with immediate effect which shall be endorsed by the Sumi Baghi Hoho to be convened within 45 days.”
