Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho had, on several instances in the past, opined that to empower women, Nominations may be enhanced and that, the Sumi Hoho is completely opposed to the 33% women reservation. However, to honour the Court’s judgment, the Hoho is not averse to it. Whereas, having learnt that out of 13 seats, instead of 4 seats, 5 seats has been allotted to Zunheboto Civil Poll which becomes 38.46% instead of 33% which is completely not justified, the Sumi Hoho has given a representation to the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland. The representation appended by its general secretary, Vihuto Asumi mentioned that Zunheboto public leaders were not consulted or even informed regarding the choice of option. Therefore, the Sumi Hoho and its Frontal Organisations as resolved in the executive meeting dated 02/03/2012 held at Zunheboto appealed to the concern authority to take prompt action and do the necessary correction to 4 seats instead of 5.
