WOKHA, JUNE 16 (MExN): A suo moto case was registered on June 15 at the Police Station, Bhandari with regard to the capture, torture and killing of a Great Indian Hornbill bird at Bhandari, Wokha. The video of the incident went viral on social media. SDPO Bhandari, Sukumo Kikon, NPS, informed through the DIPR that the Officer-in-Charge of Bhandari Police Station registered a case under the Arms Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act. He said the case is now under investigation.
