Survival Nagaland Movement lauds the initiative undertaken by the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) under the banner, Survival Mokokchung (SM), in detecting and deporting illegal immigrants from Mokokchung district. When Government of Nagaland has failed to address the issue of unabated influx of illegal immigrants into the State, SN regards the visionary leaders of AKM highly that have taken the effort to control such dangerous trend posed by the presence of illegal immigrants in the State at a crucial time before it implanted a grievous impact with its precedent if allow to flow freely. Ever since the inception of SM 2007, it has served as an eye opener, which has greatly imparted awareness to the indigenous people about the impending danger. It urged upon AKM particularly and the Mokokchung citizens in general to strictly enforced and utilized the ILP Act to the maximum till the land become free of illegal immigrants. Unlike Dimapur which doesn't fall under ILP zone, SN called upon the district administration and its legal citizens of all ILP enforced districts of Nagaland to make their place illegal immigrants free zone. SN point out that the move of SM 2007 which was a boon for Mokokchung district has on the other hand vastly affected the topography of Dimapur as most of the flush out illegal immigrants had settled in Dimapur continuing their brisk business and trade.
SN lamented that, with no proper law or mechanism to check and control illegal influx in Dimapur, the commercial hub and the nerve centre of Nagaland is suffocating with the maximum influx of illegal immigrants today, whereby the stature of the legal citizen is on the verge of minority status. SN stressed that, until and unless Dimapur is brought under the purview of ILP Act, no districts in Nagaland will be free from the illegal immigrant’s incursions. So SN urged upon the legal citizen to stand and support SN and in its course and demand to bring Dimapur under the ILP enforced zone so as to protect and preserved the rights and land of the indigenous inhabitant of the state. But SN is apprehensive that it will be possible only if the people irrespective of tribes, creed etc stay united and fight the common social menace. SN appeal to all section of the people to discard the feeling of tribalism, hatred, jealousy, greed etc within each other, rather the feeling of love, peace, and harmony should be enhanced in every heart. SN stated that, unlike other Northeastern State of India who are demanding ILP ACT to be enforced in its respective State, the Indian Constitution has empowered the state of Nagaland with the ILP ACT under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act (BEFRA) 1873, yet the apathy is that, the Government of Nagaland responded with lukewarm attitude in every enforced zone which gradually encourage the illegal immigrants to migrate and commit all sorts of crime.

When the Government of Nagaland has failed to address the issue of unabated influx of illegal immigrants into the State, SN congratulate the visionary leaders of AKM that have successfully brought the influx of illegal immigrants under control in the district. We urge that the ILP Act is implemented most strictly. Police personnel manning Nagaland gate at Tsutapela gate and Tuli also need to strictly check for passes and detain those passengers without proper documents and not let them go free after demanding some amount of money as is been allegedly told by some travelers. We also urge upon the district administration and police department of all districts to strictly check and control the flow and staying of illegal immigrants as the ones that have been chased out of Mokokchung have allegedly settled in other districts.
