SVC, PDSA on appointment of Abu Metha as Associate VP AFI

Kohima, August 12 (MExN): The Sovima Village Council expressed happiness over its member Abu Metha who has been appointed as Associate Vice President of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).

Given his vibrant and dynamic personality, the Council is confident that he shall be able to take the younger generation of the state and the region to greater vistas in the field of athletics, stated Team Sovima 21-26 in a release issued today.  “It is also quite apt that such a keen sportsperson as himself should be given an opportunity to be part and parcel of the apex organisatian for athletics in the country so that he can speak out for the hitherto voiceless athletes from this part of the nation, and promote them properly,” it stated.

PDSA: The Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) also congratulated Abu Metha, under whose leadership it had been empowering the youth of the state in manifold. The PDSA exuded confidence that with his leadership and new responsibility, Metha would serve sports fraternity and the people at-large to a greater extends to realize and achieve its potential to the fullest extent.
