SVSU confers ‘One Aspirant, One Opportunity’ scholarship

Seyochung, February 12 (MExN): The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has conferred its “One Aspirant, One Opportunity” scholarship, a 100 per cent sponsorship for NPSC/UPSC preparation.

The scholarship, announced earlier under SVSU’s flagship initiative, is awarded on the basis of merit and economic background and is supported by Rupin Sharma, Director General of Police, Nagaland, the Union informed in a press release.

After the selection process, Kevin ZT Anar has been conferred the scholarship and she will receive full financial support for NPSC/UPSC preparation in Kohima, it added. 

As per the release, former President of SVSU, Longtili C Sangtam along with the selected candidate, met DGP Sharma at his office and interacted with him on February 12. 

During the meeting, he encouraged the aspirant and extended his best wishes for her future journey, urging her to remain disciplined, focused and grounded in values while striving for excellence.

On the occasion, Sangtam expressed gratitude Sharma for sponsoring the initiative and acknowledged the DGP’s continued support for deserving students and for recognising talent at the village level.

Such initiatives provide hope and direction to the youth, he added.

The SVSU also reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing aspirants and expanding access to opportunities, stating that collective efforts can help empower young individuals to pursue their goals.
