SVSU holds 65th general meeting; announces UPSC/NPSC scholarship initiatives

Kiphire, January 2 (MExN): The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) held its 65th General Meeting at Seyochung Village on January 2, during which the Union resolved to adopt a federal structure.

According to an update received here, SVSU president Longtili C Sangtam announced that 2026 will be dedicated to boosting civil service aspirants from Seyochung.

Sangtam announced a 100% scholarship opportunity for NPSC and UPSC aspirants, sponsored by Rupin Sharma, IPS, Director General of Police, Nagaland. Under the initiative, one meritorious student from Seyochung will receive a full scholarship for NPSC or UPSC preparation at Kohima or Dimapur.

In addition, it informed that two more meritorious students from Seyochung will be awarded 100% scholarships for NPSC or UPSC preparation at Kohima or Dimapur in collaboration with Eduversity. Likewise, 80% fee concession will also be provided to other aspirants from Seyochung Village, the Union announced.

At the same time, it maintained that the eligibility and selection of candidates will be based on merit and economic background to ensure equal opportunity for deserving students.

During the programme, K Chumseli Anar’s Scholarship for 2025–26 was awarded to Ayingli and Khatila. The union expressed gratitude to K Chumseli Anar for his support.

Furthermore, the SVSU president urged all eligible students to apply within the stipulated deadline and make full use of the opportunity.
