Kiphire, December 22 (MExN): An awareness camp and cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was organised at Seyochung Village by the Nature SBI Foundation in collaboration with the Seyochung Village Students' Union on December 22.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by Khumkise, Youth Pastor of Seyochung Village Baptist Lithro, stated a press release.
Addressing the gathering, Longtili C Sangtam, Project Lead of Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, emphasised that cleanliness must be a top priority for a healthy life and community well-being.
He explained the importance of segregating wet and dry waste and encouraged villagers to properly utilise public facilities like toilets and dustbins. Sangtam urged the community to take ownership for maintaining a cleaner environment.
Aseli, Vice President of Seyochung Village Students' Union, thanked the Nature SBI Foundation for the initiative and its support. He also expressed gratitude for the useful materials donated to the village by the foundation.
Tsikhasela, President of Evergreen Village Level Organization, NSRLM Sitimi Block, appreciated the organisers, stating the programme provided a valuable opportunity to learn and collaborate for a cleaner village.
