T-10 Cricket Tournament in Kohima underway

A two day long T-10 Cricket Tournament 2024 under the aegis of Wriggle’s Club Kohima got underway today at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Gracing the opening ceremony, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant said that Cricket is gradually gaining popularity in Nagaland too. DC Kohima called upon the players to maintain team spirit, sportsmanship and fair play. He stressed on the need to respect the opponent in the field, adding that fair play will pay rich dividend in sports career. Further, Ramnikant called upon the players to strategize and give their best to excel.  

The inaugural function was chaired by Thejakhrienuo Nakhro while welcome address was delivered by Lanusunep. 
Altogether, 20 teams registered for the tournament, which will continue till July 14.
