Chümoukedima, December 2 (MExN): Assam today delivered a commanding performance to defeat Chandigarh 8–0 in Match No. 14 of the ongoing Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2) at Chümoukedima Football Stadium, Chümoukedima.
Assam dominated from the outset, opening the scoring in the 8th minute through Divia (10), followed by Sayasree (11) two minutes later.
Mary (7) added Assam’s third goal in the 24th minute, with Lokhi (12) scoring the fourth in the 35th. Mary completed her brace in first-half stoppage time to give Assam a 5–0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Assam continued their attacking display. Sayasree scored her second goal in the 57th minute, Divia added her second in the 80th, and Mary completed her hat-trick in the 84th minute.
Mary’s performance earned her recognition as Assam’s key player of the match.
The win boosts Assam’s goal difference and positions them strongly in the group stage.
