DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) has issued an ultimatum to the Nagaland State government to fulfill its demands regarding roadwork and the construction of a bridge before April 10. A press note from the TASU reminded the government and the district administration of its earlier demands for construction of all weather Namtola-Mon road; construction of Tizit-Namtola (Pongma River) RCC Bridge; to start Tizit Nokyan (13 km) road PM’s package (2014-2015) and to start the NEC (Tizit Longding) road repair works. It further noted that the Government Higher Secondary School is still running in a pathetic condition at the worn out building structure which was actually constructed for girls hostel. So far no GHSS building has been constructed at Tizit in spite of our several appeals and memorandum submitted to the government for the construction of the same, it added. The TASU cautioned that if the government fails to fulfill its demands, the union would go ahead with an indefinite blockade of the Namtola-Mon road.
